The new Spencer Middle School

The new Spencer Middle School

When it opens for the 2024-25 school year, the new Spencer Middle School will be Roane County's first completely new school facility since the completion of Roane County High School in 1993. Spencer area students will learn in exciting, new environments both inside and outside, with access to state-of-the-art technology, career-focused learning, dedicated band and choir practice spaces, a full-sized gymnasium, and much more.

The new Spencer Middle School is a project of the Roane County Board of Education. The Thrasher Group is providing architectural and engineering services. Funding is made possible through the School Building Authority of West Virginia and the Roane County Board of Education.
