Roane County FFA students were recognized at the recent BOE meeting. Seven teams competed in the West Virginia State Career Development Events in Morgantown. After weeks of intense studying, late-night practice, and unwavering dedication, our students delivered a historic performance.
Donning the iconic blue and gold corduroy jacket gives our students so many amazing experiences, and these results prove just how hard work pays off. State-winning teams will proudly represent West Virginia at the National FFA Convention in 2027!
Entomology — 1st Place State Champions!

Floriculture — 1st Place State Champions!
Alivia Linkinoggor (2nd individual), Gracie Conley (3rd individual), Berkeley Saunders, and Madison Springston.
Nursery Landscape — 1st Place State Champions!
Tanner Saunders (1st individual), Anna Hays (2nd individual), Scarlett Parsons (4th individual), and Nola Parsons (6th individual).
Poultry — 1st Place State Champions!

Veterinary Science — 5th Place in the State
Regan Banks (3rd individual), Lexi Williams, Eli Hays, and Bayliegh Pettit.
Livestock Evaluation — 9th Place in the State
Lyrik Miller, Brycen Craft, Trevor Webster, and Isaiah Williams.
We are also beyond excited to celebrate a major milestone for our chapter: Roane County FFA’s first-ever 8th-grade team! Competing in the Agriscience competition, these middle school trailblazers captured 1st place in the state contest in their very first year.
