“7th grade students from Spencer Middle School will be traveling to Charleston, West Virginia, on May 16 to visit the Yeager Airport, Capitol Building, WV State Museum and the Clay Center as part of the Career Literacy program. A Discover Your Future Travel Grant was written by instructor, Theresa Parker, for $1600 to pay for the trip. As part of the requirements, a commercial, written and performed by the students, had to be made and presented on the school and county website. Students in the commercial are from left to right, Jackson McNeeley-Starcher, Mark Callow, Katie Stump-Cohen and Lacey Landis. Seventh grade students are looking forward to this end-of-the-year trip!”
