STATE CHAMP x2 This weekend, RCHS junior Lane Watson won his second state championship -- in his second sport! Watson placed first in his weight class at the 2024 WVSSAC State Wrestling Tournament. Last year, he won the 300m hurdles for Class AA at the 2023 State Track Meet.

Students do not attend school in-person on an NTI day. An NTI day is one in which our teachers provide lessons to students while they are at home via online or other resources. All students should have been provided with information on how to access these lessons today at school.

Roane County Schools is thrilled to share that the Appalachian Vision Outreach Program will provide a Free Eye Screening/Exam at Spencer Middle School on Thursday, January 25th, 2024. Due to limited spacing nurses may conduct screenings to see what individuals may need eye exams. Applications for the Roane County Virtual School program are now open until January 9th, 2024 at 4PM. Virtual classes are scheduled to commence on January 10th, 2024. To enroll your student in the Roane County Virtual School program, please complete the application form linked below. Important Reminder: If students are currently attending in-person classes, they must continue to do so until the official switch to virtual learning on January 10, 2024. Any absences during this period will still be counted against the student until they transition to virtual schooling.
