From Cari Ward K teacher: I just want to share a joy! My students submitted entries to the state math conference poster contest. Here are some pictures of the first and second place winners. Both were from my class at SES. Also, I want to thank Allison Miller for inviting us to participate and delivering the posters to the conference. Congratulations to Paisley Dennis and Parker Hammons.

Hello parents we will have to postpone math night scheduled for tomorrow. The new date will be April 13th from 5pm to 7pm.

Mrs Wards and my class constructed rainbows from pipe cleaners, Play Doh, and cups.
After they built the rainbows, we tested their strength by putting "gold coins" in the cups.
The kids worked in teams of 2, were well behaved, and had a great time using their engineering skills!

Parents please sign up for kindergarten registration by calling the school at 304-927-6428.

Thank you Derrick Hoffman, Raylee Hoffman and Tonya Hoffman for making g the umbrella stand.

Parents Zoodles are coming and we want every student to enjoy but in order to do so we need a waiver signed that Zoodles has sent. The name of the student and the parent signature are at the top of the paper. Please send this in. Pictures don't have to be bought.

Hello SES Community! Our school will be conducting a trash bag sale! We are excited to offer our families and supporters a high quality product that is something we all need and use!
• Your friends, neighbors and relatives all need and use trash bags. These bags are bigger and stronger than anything available in stores. They can be used for anything around the house so feel free to stock up!!
• All proceeds will go to the school and be used to provide much needed resources for our classrooms and office!
• Thank you for your support!

From Mrs. Ball’s 1st grade class.
Thanks to Katie Kelley from the kitchen for sharing her goats with first grade after a unit study on goats.

First Graders in Mrs. Gainer's class discussed the moon phases today by using Oreos. They used the icing within the Oreos to model the different phases. They discussed the name of each phase, as well as its position to the earth and sun. Their reading series this week focused around "What do you see in the sky?"

Thank you Roane County High school National Honor Society for helping clean up our campus. Zavian Hoffman and Eli Howard got all the balls out of the forest. There were three female students who helped pick up trash as well. Names and pic will come later.

Update Please come and help us.
Hello if we could have parents to help get the balls out of the woods below our blacktop playground that would be awesome. We have a 3 hour early out on Wednesday March 8th that would be a perfect opportunity. Anyone willing to help most likely needs some type of solid boot or shoe, gloves and old clothes. Parents can meet on bottom blacktop at 1:30 after buses have run. Thank you.

Parents please come see all the wonderful projects.

This is in the student handbook.

2. Parents are asked to not arrive for student pick up until 2:45 PM due to recess on maps parking lot. Parents please do not come and park in the lot earlier than 2:30pm.
3. Parents will not exit their vehicle but will park in the lower map parking lot upon arriving.
4. Due to changes in bus schedule parents may pick up students from 3:00 to 3:15. Due to bus congestion at this time parents are asked not to arrive after 3:15pm
