Good evening, This is a reminder that the Roane County Prevention Coalition will be sponsoring a Trunk or Treat tomorrow evening at the school from 6-8pm. There will be prizes for the best costumes and best anti-drugged themed trunk. Come out and enjoy the evening. PTO will sell pizza, popcorn, and drinks. Have a great evening!

Good afternoon, Geary School has five announcements: 1st Announcement- Next week is Red Ribbon Week - Drug Awareness. Students should have brought home a flyer. We will have a spirit week. Monday - Wear Red and a hat day Tuesday - Western Wear Day Wednesday - PJ Day Thursday - Superhero Day Friday - Favorite School Color Day 2nd Announcement - On Oct. 24th, There will be a PTO meeting at 3:00 in the conference room. 3rd Announcement - On Thursday, Oct. 26th will be Trunk or Treat Sponsored by the Roane County Prevention Coalition from 6 to 8 pm in the Geary School parking lot. PTO will sell concession food. 4th Announcement - Report Cards will be sent home again. There was a problem with grades being transferred correctly. The report cards will come home on Tuesday. 5th Announcement - There will be a double elimination volleyball conference on Oct. 28 at Roane County High School. The gate opens at 9 am and games start at 10 am. Lady Panthers will take on Webster. Gate fee is 7 dollars and concessions will be sold. If you have any questions, please call the school. Good Afternoon Geary school has 3 announcements. 1st announcement- We will be celebrating the Arts on Monday evening from 4-5:30. Mr. Smith and Mr. Metzger will present the art work and musical ability of the following grade-level students: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th Ms. Higginbotham’s homeroom class, and 8th Mr. Osborne’s homeroom class. Please come out and help us celebrate their talent on Monday from 4-5:30. 2nd announcement - There will be a parent-volunteer training on Wednesday at 5:30 in the gym. Additional training will be offered again at a later date. 3rd announcement- There will be no school for students on Thursday, 12th and Friday 13th. Enjoy the Black Walnut Festival.

Good Evening, This is Geary School with a couple announcements. First - The dance scheduled for this Friday, September 22, 2023 has been cancelled. Second - On September 26, there will be a parent/teacher conference. If parents attend they will receive a coupon from their child's teacher for one free adult entry into the volleyball game against Spencer that begins at 6 pm. VIRTUAL SCHOOL APPLICATIONS OPEN Applications for the Roane County Virtual School are now open! https://forms.office.com/r/Wf9RSX9SDY Students in grades K through 12th can enroll full-time in the Roane County Virtual School. You need not be a Roane County resident to enroll. Students must have earned a 2.0 GPA or higher and not miss more than 5 unexcused absences in the previous school year. Applications are due by 4 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Walton Elementary Middle School Football signups will be held on Wednesday, July 26 from 6:30-8:30 and Saturday, July 29 from 6-8 at the Walton field house. Good Evening, Geary School has two announcements. Announcement 1: Just a reminder that Field Day shirt orders are due tomorrow, April 19th. Forms were sent home with students or can be found on the Geary PTO Facebook page or simply write your students name and shirt size on a slip of paper and return to school with the attention of PTO Field Day shirts. Please send in $2 for each shirt ordered. Announcement 2: Summer Sole and Energy Express forms have been sent home. If you would like your child to participate in Summer Sole and Energy Express this summer please call the school. There will be a lot of learning and special activities going on this summer, and we hope to see you there! Thank you and have a good evening!

Good Evening, For 8th grade parents and student, 8th grade night will be tomorrow at Roane County High School from 4 to 6. they will be working on class schedule and participating in a Gear Up Transition to High School event. A letter was sent home with students to review and their PEPs will be sent home tomorrow to review for scheduling. If you are unable to attend please see attached letter for alternate dates or call the high school at 304.927.6420 to schedule a time with the school counselors.
